PROBLEM
To meet new security standards, a state office building needed to restrict access beyond their large, open lobby. They wanted to ensure that only those authorized to do so could access the rest of the building and maintain an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
SOLUTION
To address these requirements, we installed security speed lanes with glass barriers. The speed lanes require an access control credential to enter. In addition to complying with new security requirements, these physical security barriers automate a previously manual check-in process and create an audit trail of authorized persons’ movements. Visually, they are unobtrusive and tie into the overall look of the lobby.
